An 8-week beatbox mentorship for the shy, the weird, and the curious.
Cohort 2 begins Mon 7 September · Doors close Fri 5 September · Payment plan available
Maybe you've been told you can't sing. Maybe you go quiet in groups. Maybe you've watched beatboxers on the internet and thought "I could never do that"... even though something in you really wants to try.
Most beatbox content out there is for people who already know what they're doing. It's macho. Competitive. Built for the front row at a battle, not for someone learning in their kitchen.
Savage Sounds is different.
It's a safe, structured way to use your voice - designed for people who've never tried.
Beatboxing is a stress reliever.
Not in a candles-and-crystals way. In a "you just spent 20 minutes making silly noises and your shoulders have dropped" way.
A woman at one of my workshops once told me it felt like "laughing yoga -like you were tickling my diaphragm." She was right.
It's breath work. It's percussion. It's play. It releases the same feel-good hormones singing does. And unlike most things you try in your 30s or 40s to feel better, it's genuinely funny, unpredictable, and surprising.
You don't need to master complex rhythms. You just need to follow your instincts and reconnect with the ancient history of your own voice.
Six women. All beginners. Perfect 10/10 satisfaction score.
“I never felt judged. I never felt like I was making a fool of myself.— — JO CLEGG, Cohort 1
“Now I feel more able to use my voice, speak up and make some noise!— — Cohort 1 student
“An authentic and encouraging space for everyone to learn to beatbox, learn to be silly and learn to love it.— — Cohort 1 student
I'm Grace Savage. 4× UK Beatbox Champion, TEDx speaker, and recovering shy kid from a small village in Devon. I spent years practising beatboxing alone in my bedroom because I didn't think I was good enough to do it in front of anyone.
These days I've performed at Glastonbury, the National Theatre, and the Royal Festival Hall, been featured in The Guardian and Evening Standard, played on Radio 1 and 6 Music, and taught beatboxing to literally thousands of people of every age.
Whatever your story, however ridiculous you feel, however convinced you are that you can't - I've taught someone like you before, and they got it.

That's exactly who this is for. Cohort 1 was 100% beginners. We start at the very beginning.
All live calls are recorded. The pre-recorded videos are the core content. Live calls are a bonus, not required.
Yes. Most cohort 1 students arrived saying the same thing.
The course needs about 30-60 minutes a week. It's designed to be doable.
No problem. Live calls happen weekly, but the day and time aren't locked in - I run WhatsApp polls with the group to find the slot that works for the most people that week. Sometimes it's midweek evening (UK), sometimes weekend morning (UK). If the chosen slot doesn't work for you that week, the call is always recorded and lands in your inbox within 24 hours, so you never miss the content.
Yes - DM me for the 3-payment plan.
The next cohort of Savage Sounds Beatbox School starts Monday 7 September. Doors close Friday 5 September at midnight.
If any part of you is thinking "yeah, I want to do that this time" — in the words of Martine McCutcheon, "this is your moooooment."!

Not sure a full cohort is right for you?
No judgement. 8 weeks is a real commitment and this isn't the right thing for everyone. If it's not quite your fit, here are two other ways in:
1-1 lessons
If you want personalised time with me on one specific thing... a sound you can't crack, a routine you're working on, confidence with your voice... book a one-off 1-1 lesson. No cohort, no calendar, no group.
The Savage Sounds Beatbox App (coming October)
I'm building a daily habit tool for your phone that teaches you the fundamentals in tiny 2-minute doses. Perfect if you want to learn at your own pace, in your own kitchen, without a group. Launching October 2026 -- if you're on my mailing list, you'll hear about it first).
(Or if you're on the fence about the cohort - hit reply on any of my emails and just tell me. I read every one and I'll help you figure out what actually fits.)
